Cialis is a PDE-5 Inhibitor manufactured by Eli Lily and Company that is used to treat impotence and erectile dysfunction used by millions of American males. Cialis has been linked to the development of Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) which can lead to blindness. NAION is a condition where vision loss occurs due to lack of blood supply and oxygen to the optic nerves in the eye. It affects nearly 8,000 people each year and usually noticed by patients in one eye after waking up in the morning.

Symptoms of NAION usually begin about 1-2 days after ingesting the medication. Once affected by NAION, there are no effective treatments to reverse the damage. Although it does not usually lead to total vision loss, it can significantly impair one’s vision.

If you have been affected by Cialis, you may experience the following symptoms:

  • Blindness
  • Vision loss
  • NAION
  • Hearing Loss

If you or someone you know has experienced or has been diagnosed with a vision loss NAION, or blindness, you may be entitled to compensation. Please contact our pharmacist attorneys at KANE LEGAL today.
